The Praterinsel in Munich, home of the Stroke Art Fair, is a beautiful little island in the middle of the Isar river. The castle like set up has been completely taken over by urban art in the broadest sense of the word, ranging from canvas art, live painting, lectures and an on site tattoo parlour. The beauty of Stroke doesn’t just lie in the setting of the event, as we have seen some truly amazing art work so far. With work on display by the likes of Banksy, Herakut, Joys, and Futura, that shouldn’t come as a surprise, but we have been equally impressed by the some of the upcoming artists as well.
The overall vibe of the event has been really easy going, and sales in general have been going well so far, according to creative director Marco Schwalbe. We’ve also had the chance to witness some awesome live painting by the likes of Inkie, Joys, Raptuz, Stand der Dinge, DMS One and our very own Max Zorn, who has been drawing a lot of people to our UrbanArtNOW booth.
Be on the look out for our upcoming video’s with Inkie, Max Zorn, and the rest of our Amsterdam people, as well as an exclusive look at Case’s show in Munich, just outside of Stroke.
