Artez is the leading Serbian artist of third generation that emerged on the local graffiti scene. He is best known as an artist that is mixing photo-realism and illustration with an amazing ability to incorporate vibrant colors in his work.
During past few years, he has been present on international graffiti scene and painted graffiti all across Europe. In 2011 his adventurous spirit took him to India where he spent time traveling and painting. He was invited to paint on several festivals during that time, such as Sunburn and NH7. In 2013, after graduating from University of Architecture in Belgrade, Serbia, he went on a journey to Brazil where he was travelling and painting for 3 months.
Besides paintings on the walls, his work has been exhibited as part of group exhibitions in galleries around Balkan and as well at ‘Platoon Kunsthalle’ in Berlin. He had two solo exhibitions in 2013 – his first solo show “Reborn” in Belgrade, Serbia and “10 years retrospective” in Bucharest, Romania.
He has been experimenting a lot with colors lately and his newest experiments were about playing with one’s perception, creating optical illusions by distorting an image. His constant craving for traveling and having the world as his inspiration effected his rapid progress and influenced his style – it doesn’t seem he’ll be settling down any time soon…
