5 Danish Graffiti artists came over to Amsterdam in the end of May for Urban Art Festival to take on a 4 day painting marathon and create a 500 m2 mural in the Eastside of the city.
It’s summer time and festivals happen all around the globe inviting some of the best artists around to paint large scale murals in public space. Here is our selection to get you started in the week a bit easier with our Murals Monday series.
Hugo Kaagman is one of the pioneers in the international Street-Art scene and a true master in stencil art. Since 1978, he develops an own iconic picture language, often in his classic “Delft Blue” with motives ranging from Dutch tradition to Punk Rock and politics.
Urban Art Festival presented 40 international artists in a big group exhibition, large-scale mural paintings and a series of side-events. The festival location OT301 was packed with visitors and everybody had a blast at the event. We have photos and videos for you after the jump to get a little glimpse of our focus event!

On the road again… After out great adventure in Munich we decided to take the orange Urban Art NOW hippy van down to Roeselare, Belgium to check out the DayOne Festival. We found great murals, some good friends and made new ones, got a great tour by Bjorn from Street Art Belgium and had a blast of a day. Check out our travel report!

Urban Art NOW presented Max Zorn and Stick Together exclusively at STROKE Art Fair. During his live tape art sessions at the booth, his artwork and unique technique got a lot of attention!
Ink’d organised a show “SNAPSHOT” with some prominent names in the Urban Art scene. Our friends FatHeat and Mr. Zero from Budapest flew over to Brighton to team up with Snub23 and Inkfetish for a group exhibition, murals and special series of print releases.
Team Copenhagen got busy the last days and created a burner wall in the city’s infamous Norrebro district for our upcoming festival May 30th – June 1st.
